Dr. Ron Liu is the Founder & CEO of Bostal LLC (formerly AustarPharma) in Edison NJ USA (2004-present), and Bostal Drug delivery in Guangzhou China (2013-present). Prior to establishing Bostal LLC, Ron served as Director of Global Product Development at Bristol-Myers Squibb (2000-2004). He was Manager of Product Development in Abbott (1994-2000), and served as Project Leader in Wyeth (1991-1994).
Dr. Liu was the sole inventor of the technology patent of Visudyne (Verteporfin) Liposomes, which won the Prix Galien Award. He made significant contributions to Prevacid ( Lansoprazole), Lupron (Leuprorelin) and Tricor (Fenofibrate) when he worked for Abbott. He is the author and editor of the book entitled "Water-Insoluble Drug Formulation".
He holds a PhD in Pharmaceutics from the University of Iowa; an MBA from Rutgers.
