Richard Kornbluth is the founder of Multimeric Biotherapeutics, Inc. and is a physician-scientist who co-invented the Fortivac vaccine technology. He is a serial entrepreneur who founded Receptome, LLC and sold it to ImmunityBio in 2016. He is currently a Professor at the Vaccine Research Institute of San Diego and was previously a Professor of Medicine at the University of California San Diego. He holds a BA from Harvard College, MD from New York Medical College, PhD from Columbia University, and completed an NCI-funded post-doc in cancer immunology from the Scripps Research Institute. He has published 61 papers, been awarded 29 grants, and filed 9 patents.
