Dr. Rashida A. Karmali, Ph. D, JD, MBA, is Founder, CEO and Board of Director. She earned the Ph. D in Biochemistry from Newcastle University, UK. Dr. Karmali carried out studies on the role of eicosanoids and fatty acids in cancer and autoimmune diseases. She joined Dr. Robert A. Good at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, and later held a position as Associate Professor at Rutgers University in New Brunswick. Her extensive research is described in more than 100 publications, and she was featured on the Cover of Cancer Research in December of 1997 for her work involving cyclooxygenase- 2 (COX-2) in cancer. She received her JD and an MBA from Rutgers University, Newark, NJ. She is a registered Patent lawyer and a Certified Licensing Professional. She worked at leading New York law firms on drug patent litigation, technology transaction, and IPO. She has run a law practice in Intellectual Property since 2000. She founded Tactical Therapeutics, Inc. in 2005.
