Mr. Gaffney brings a 30-year track record of venture stage leadership success to Cellphire Therapeutics, Inc. Executive leadership positions include Executive Chairman or CEO for over 10 healthcare companies, with leadership accountability for strategy development, operational execution, talent recruitment, business development, and capital raising. Prior to Cellphire, Mr. Gaffney founded Bancroft Group, LLC, a consultancy focused on middle market healthcare company strategy and investment success. Prior to founding Bancroft, he was co-founded EDG Partners, a healthcare-focused private equity firm. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Allied Capital (NYSE: ALD) where he led the healthcare investment strategy. He also served in the U.S. Navy as a Submarine Officer. Mr. Gaffney received a Master of Arts from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy.
