Kate Walsh is a Managing Director at HSBC and based in Boston. In this role, Kate is focused on the Biopharma, Tools & Diagnostics sector. Kate and her team provide banking services and debt-financing solutions to biopharma companies at all phases, from early-stage venture-backed enterprises to late-stage public companies. Prior to HSBC Kate spent 17 years at Silicon Valley Bank. Kate has worked with a wide variety of technology and life science companies, including biotech, digital health, diagnostics, medical devices, software and hardware. Her passion is biopharma, where her expertise includes leveraging the networks she’s built to make pivotal connections for her clients. Kate holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters.
