a:head bio is a startup spun out of IMBA focused on developing a brain organoid drug discovery platform. Josh Bagley is the CSO at a:head and leads the scientific team. He is a trained neuroscientist, receiving his PhD from UCSF in California followed by postdoctoral training in the lab of Juergen Knoblich at IMBA in Vienna. His previous achievements include an organoid fusion method to increase the complexity of brain organoids, which is also some of the founding IP technology use at a:head.
