Dr. Kil is the Co-Founder and CEO of Sound Pharmaceuticals, a biotechnology company developing the first drugs to treat hearing loss and tinnitus. He has 30 years of research, development, and clinical experience in auditory neuroscience, neurotology, neuropsychiatry, and respiratory infection. He has been the principal investigator on multiple grants from the NIH, DoD, CFF, and BgC3 totaling $15M. Dr. Kil has led the R&D and Financing strategy of Sound since inception totaling $65M. Since 2012, he has been an advisor the DoD Hearing Center of Excellence. Since 2014, he has served on the Board of Trustees of UW Harborview Medical Center. Dr. Kil is the parent of an autistic son and supports several organizations focused on autism research & care. He received his MD from UVa and completed otolaryngology research at UW.
