Johanna joined Roche in 2021 as Global Head of pRED Oncology, leading the organisation to discover and develop breakthrough medicines. She previously held the position of Chief Development Officer at the Sarah Cannon Research Institute in Tennessee, and also served as Director of the Drug Development Unit and Director of the Gastrointestinal Oncology Research Program. Johanna has also been Assistant Professor of Medicine at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and Assistant in Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. She has been an active member of the American Society for Clinical Oncology, serving on several committees including the Cancer Education Committee, the Cancer Research Committee and the Breakthrough Program Committee. Johanna earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Chicago, and completed her internship and residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Fellowship in Adult Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Massachusetts.
