Ahmad is the co-founder and CEO of Asta Bio, a biopharma company leveraging targeted radiotherapy to enhance the lives of cancer patients. Prior to Asta, Ahmad was the VP and head of BD and strategic investments at Fosun Pharma USA leading investments and strategic partnerships for the Innovative Medicines group. Previously, he was VP of Business Development and Corporate Strategy at Elpis Biopharmaceuticals, and held roles in business development and corporate strategy at Epizyme, Momenta Pharmaceuticals and Sarepta. Ahmad has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry including roles in drug discovery, M&A and partnerships, management consulting, commercial strategy, and corporate finance. Ahmad started his career in drug discovery as a research scientist at Abbvie, Vertex and Chiron. He holds a B.S in Chemistry from University of Massachusetts, an M.S. in Pharmacology from Northeastern University, and an MBA from F.W. Olin College of Business at Babson College.
